Booking:
Booking use of the spa facilities
You do not need to book ahead to use the spa facilities except on Fridays and Saturdays when you book a four-hour slot (9am-1pm, 1.30pm-5.30pm, or 6pm-10pm). Saturdays can be busy and can fill up to six weeks ahead.
You also need to book if you wish to bring a group of 6 or more people (for details see ‘Group bookings’ below).
Booking a treatment
In order to book one of our holistic treatments please telephone us. Normally it is a good idea to book your treatments in advance, this is especially important for a Saturday or for a group. However, you can sometimes be lucky and arrange a session on the day, so it is always worth a try. A deposit or credit/debit card details are required to secure bookings for all treatments.
Cancellations
A 50% charge is taken for treatments cancelled after 5pm the previous day. For groups the full payment is non-refundable within 10 days of the booking.
Group bookings
We accept bookings for groups of 6 to a maximum of 12 people on all days except our quiet day, ‘Meditative Monday’. All group bookings require a £100 non-refundable deposit.
Please nominate one person from your party as the group leader and ensure all communication regarding your group booking happens through them. Group leaders should ensure that all members of your party are aware of the peaceful environment that people seek in coming here.
Friday and Saturday group bookings are for one of these time slots: 9am-1pm,
1.30pm-5.30pm, or 6pm-10pm. Once you have paid your deposit we will send
you a booking form for you to list those coming, and to indicate what treatments
members of your group would like. Please return this as soon as possible
to ensure that your group gets its first choice of treatments. We then send
you confirmation of the times of your group’s treatments and an invoice.
The balance needs to be paid in full (in one payment) at least 10 days before
your visit, at which time it also becomes non-refundable. All Friday and
Saturday group bookings are dealt with during office hours (Mon-Fri 9.30am-5.30pm).
Call us on 0117 970 6616 during office hours (Mon-Fri 9.30am-5.30pm) to make a booking or to discuss your options.

Spa etiquette:
Everyone at The Relaxation Centre is dedicated to providing a safe and relaxing environment for all to enjoy. With this in mind please take a few moments to read the following:
Most importantly, please keep the atmosphere peaceful. To ensure this we ask you to refrain from talking over the bubbles in the spa pool & hot tub.
Switch off your mobile phone.
Only smoke in the designated smoking area outside.
If anything is troubling you do please let us know.
If you have been using one facility for a while, be willing to move on to make space for others. A maximum stay of 20 minutes at a time is recommended in the hot tub.
Respect that we do not tolerate any sexual behaviour here. Anyone who does not respect this will be asked to leave.
Alcohol is not permitted.
Please be aware that we close the outdoor facilities half an hour before closure. We suggest you are in the changing rooms by fifteen minutes before we close.
For your own well being:
We recommend not eating a large meal before using the facilities.
Do not use alcohol or drugs before using the spa facilities.
Remove all watches, jewellery, contact lenses and make up.
Although rare, it is possible that peroxide /coloured hair can be affected by the spa.
Drink plenty of water.
You should not use the facilities if you have a heart disorder, abnormal blood pressure, recent scar tissue or skin complaint, which may be aggravated.
If you are pregnant, please consult your doctor before using the spa facilities. Treatments (apart from Thai and Hot Stone Massage) are fine, and the float is fine throughout.
If you are in any doubt about using our facilities, please check with your doctor
Hygiene:
Shower before using the facilities, and every time before entering the pools and floatation room.
Do not use face packs.
Lie on your towel in the sauna.
Please cover any warts or verucas.
To get the most from your treatment:
Do not eat heavy meals, use alcohol or use drugs.
Tell the practitioner if you have any medical condition, any injuries, recent surgery or are on medication.
For clothed bodywork, such as shiatsu or Thai yoga massage, wear loose, comfortable clothing.
For massage we suggest that you undress as far as you feel comfortable. You are always covered with towels during these sessions.
Be aware that holistic treatments can be powerful, and may bring underlying feelings to the surface. Please ask the practitioner if you need any advice.
Please check your robe pockets before handing them back
Dress code:
During mixed sessions (Tuesday and Thursday) swimwear is required, but is optional on all other days
