Job description:

Job Title: Reception and Spa Caretaker

Responsible to: The Spa Manager

Hours: Part time. Evening & Weekend

Salary: £7.00/hr with fantastic perks

Duration: Permanent Role

 

We have a variety of part-time customer service shifts available, the majority of which are over the evenings and weekends. Ideal candidates would commit to a minimum of 15-20 hours per week taking place over three shifts that vary between the hours of 4pm and 11.30pm. The role comes with an expectation that candidates are flexible to cover different shift times when other members of the spa team are away on annual leave.

 

Here is a brief summary of the roles involved in our spa team, all of whom report to the Spa Manager or Duty Manager. There are rapid promotion prospects for high performing candidates.

 

Reception

The Receptionist is the first point of contact and source of information for the clients, responsible for the smooth running of the day whilst maintaining a high level of customer care. The main tasks are checking all clients in and out of the building, using computer systems to take telephone bookings and allocate them to appropriate therapists, keeping a balanced till, answering the phone and working alongside the spa assistant and therapists in a warm and welcoming manner.

 

Spa Caretaker

This is a varied and fairly physical role demanding a high level of customer care. Responsibilities include serving food and drinks in the tea bar, giving tours to new clients, taking care of laundry, conducting regular pool tests, taking deliveries and maintaining a clean and tidy spa space. The evening spa shift has additional responsibilities which involve taking care of closing down the building and securing the premises alongside the evening receptionist at the end of the shift and changing the water in the spa pools. The shift times vary depending on the day. Friday, Saturday and Sundays work on a rolling rota.

 

Person Specification

• Must be confident dealing with members of the general public in an exceptionally professional manner with a willingness to help out wherever possible.

• Clear experience of customer service work.

• Confident IT skills including word and excel.

• Accurate and through approach with an ability to solve problems.

• Professional communication skills, by telephone and in writing.

• Practical and confident about learning to operate sophisticated spa equipment.

• Able to lift and carry significant loads up and down stairs.

• Flexible and motivated team member.

• Quick and enthusiastic learner.

• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
