Indian Head massage (1)

Meet K’lo Harris

“I’m inspired by the simplicity of touch and how it can nurture us and bring us back to ourselves for a moment.”

My treatment

Shiatsu

Who can benefit from my treatments?

In my 20 years as a practitioner I have had the opportunity to specialise in many things including such conditions as asthma, cancer, M.E., depression and stress-related conditions. But these are things that have come about accidentally as a result of the clients I was attracting, more recently I am finding I am deeply interested in hormones and the effects they have on us especially pre and post menopause and pre and post pregnancy, and any emotional body mind issues.

What inspires me?

The simplicity of touch and how it can nurture us and bring us back to ourselves for a moment. A little respite from nervous system driven lives which all too often push us to keep going when our bodies want to stop. The relationship between body mind and emotions. How our mental health affects our immune system.

How I like to relax

Dance, movement, sauna, body work of any sort and long hot holidays doing absolutely nothing. Switching everything off.

My other interests

Contact improvisation dance, performance, deep embodiment work and play. I have also dabbled in many forms of movement like Yoga, Ti Chi, and Chi Gung. Various forms of traditional dancing including Arabic, African and Tango.

Qualifications

Diploma of Shiatsu, Reiki 1, 2 and 3. Somatic Movement Educator (SME) and Somatic Movement Therapist (SMT) pending.
