Libby Lane – Massage on the Park
Dynamically bringing together relaxing and releasing massage with stretches, mobilisations and soft tissue work. Bringing clarity and a refreshing energy to a massage grounded in remedial and deep tissue principles to get to the root of issues both emotionally and physically.
I use elements of the following massage styles to develop a treatment which suits your body at any one time:
- Holistic Massage / Deep Tissue Massage
- Thai Yoga Massage
- Indian Head Massage
- Hot Stone Massage
- Lymphatic Drainage Massage
- Pregnancy Massage
Each of the above treatments is available as a stand-alone treatment too.
I work from:
There are profound benefits to be gained from responsive and healing touch; being able to just stop for an hour to tune in and listen to our bodies helps to reconnect us again; being held and nurtured is a wonderful thing and it helps us to let go.
Massage can benefit individuals experiencing chronic pain, musculoskeletal issues, injuries or anxiety, to those working through traumatic emotional issues. However, you don’t need to feel unwell to get better. Regular massage can keep your body supple and relaxed and you feeling grounded and balanced.
I am fully insured and an accredited member of the Massage Training Institute.
I am happy to work with pregnant woman throughout pregnancy and into the postnatal period after training with Wellmother in 2009.
I take regular CPD each year, including advanced techniques in freeing the shoulders and neck, deep tissue, hands free techniques, 3D side-lying and working into the hips and lower back.
My interests lie in teaching people how to make the most of their bodies and giving them self-efficacy. I have found that through regular treatment clients become closer to their bodies, feeling their way through weakness as well as tension, learning postural awareness and finding activities which will work for them to improve their overall health.
My karate practice is helping me to achieve what I need to strengthen my body and maintain fitness and focus my ideas.
When I am not massaging I work as a designer and enjoy walking in woodlands, in windswept mountains or along sandy beaches, swimming in rivers and the sea, anywhere wild and free, picking blackberries, laughing with my friends, having fun with my children, camping and roaring fires.
MASSAGE IN THE WORKPLACE, EVENTS, CELEBRATIONS
For a more portable experience I take my massage chair. This kind of massage works well in an office setting, event or celebration i.e. a hen party!
Massage in the workplace is hugely beneficial. Employees feel revitalised after treatment and ready to engage in work, feeling more dynamic, inspired and focused.
Sessions usually last 30 minutes to 1 hour and treatments available include:
- Back, neck & shoulders
- Indian head massage
- Revitalising foot massage
- Holistic face massage
Please contact me to talk in more detail about event/workplace rates and availability.
